There aren’t many alloy wheels in the market that are (or claim to be!) suitable for motorsport. When amateur racing driver Mark Dawson was looking to upgrade the wheels on his Hyundai Coupe. After a bit of consultancy, naturally he chose Wolfrace TrackReady alloys.

Hyundai Coupe Tin Top - Wolfrace TrackReady Pro-Lite

The Wolfrace TrackReady alloy wheel range was launched approximately five years ago and includes the Pro-Lite and Ultra-Lite designs – both wheels have been used in various race formula including VW Racing Cup and the RAF Rally Championship.

Mark will be competing this year in the Tin Tops Series – ran by the Classic Sports Car Club in the UK and featuring a range of hot hatch vehicles up to 2.0l engine capacity.

Mark used to race his black Hyundai Coupe on the original equipment wheels, but they were a little heavy and unsightly – a change was in order.

Mark chose the Wolfrace TrackReady Pro-Lite 7.0×15″ wheel in gloss black and teamed them with semi-slick racing tyres. We machined the wheels in house to the vehicles PCD and Marks’ preferred offset.

To top off the new look, we made Mark some new Wolfrace bodywork stickers.

The transformation is complete and as well as looking much more aggressive,  the wheels will no doubt add to Mark’s prowess on the track.

The first race of the series takes place at Snetterton on April 13th – we hope to bring a report and some track images shortly after.
