As the great British weather continues an onslaught of cold, rainy days with no sign of giving up, there’s bound to be ice and gritters galore just around the corner, too. In preparation for winter, it’s best to fit your motor with aluminium rims with simple designs – such as five spokes – and a silver colour.
That’s because these features make the alloy wheels much easier to wash and conserve, which is usually more challenging in winter, due to the weather conditions. We’d recommend that you fit rims with more adventurous, complex shapes in the summer, leaving the simpler designs for winter.
