Paul Cowland has been part of the Wolfrace motorsport family since the start of this year.

When he’s not competing in the PGTi Championship at various race tracks across the UK, he occasionally gets the chance to do other cool stuff – last weekend he took a trip to Germany for a bit of a thrash around the world famous Nurburgring.

Paul’s trusty 8v has the same gear box and engine it was fitted with when it rolled off the production line, since then its covered over 200,000 miles – and a lot of those on the redline!

Accompanied by some other vehicles that aren’t exactly shy of the track (including the 530ps Porsche Turbo powered VW T1 ‘ring taxi) Paul’s Golf equipped with 7.0×15″ Wolfrace TrackReady Pro-Lite coped well with the twists, turns and straights of the 12.93 mile Nordschleife circuit – if you want to see how quick he was, watch the video below.
